Montessori Mapping: Whole-School Montessori Alignment
Montessori Mapping is a consulting pathway that helps schools evolve — not just survive.
It’s built on one belief: Montessori only works when everything works together — people, practice, and purpose.
Through observation, assessment, and collaboration, Montessori Makers Group helps schools strengthen fidelity to Montessori philosophy and build the systems that sustain it. We start by clarifying what’s true right now, then align your structures with your mission, and finally, design the transformation that makes the change stick.
Each tier of Montessori Mapping offers a different level of depth and partnership, so you can choose the right kind of support for where your school is now.

How We Help
Highlighting and amplifying high-fidelity Montessori practice.
Montessori Mapping: One System, Three Phases
Montessori Mapping is a cohesive consulting methodology designed to help schools strengthen fidelity, alignment, and sustainability over time.
Rather than offering disconnected services, our work follows a three-phase system rooted in Montessori principles of observation, reflection, and intentional design. Each phase builds on the one before it, but schools may enter the process at the phase that best reflects their current needs.
These phases are not separate programs — they are interconnected parts of one aligned system.
Clarity
See your school clearly.
Every healthy system begins with honest observation. In this phase, we identify strengths, gaps, and growth areas across classrooms, adult culture, and operations. Through on-site visits, interviews, and data review, you receive a grounded, accurate snapshot of how Montessori is currently living in your school — and where alignment is breaking down.
This phase creates shared understanding and replaces assumptions with insight.
You’ll gain:
-
A detailed program assessment and visual “map” of current Montessori fidelity
-
Observations and feedback across all learning environments
-
A 60-minute debrief with leadership to unpack findings and identify next steps
Ideal for:
Schools in reflection or transition — new leadership, accreditation prep, post-audit recalibration, or moments when things feel “off” but unclear.
Alignment
Bring your people and systems into sync.
Once clarity is established, alignment turns insight into action. In this phase, we work with leadership and teams to design systems, structures, and rhythms that reflect your Montessori values in daily practice.
This is where philosophy moves out of documents and into lived experience — through communication systems, leadership roles, policies, and shared expectations.
You’ll gain:
-
A custom alignment map connecting vision, strategy, and operations
-
Review and refinement of leadership, staffing, and communication systems
-
3–5 coaching sessions with leaders or teams to support implementation
Ideal for:
Schools that understand their needs but require structure, accountability, and shared language to move forward together.
Transformation
Build for equity, sustainability, and long-term growth.
Transformation is about redesigning — not patching. In this phase, we guide schools through deeper organizational change to ensure systems are equitable, sustainable, and resilient over time.
This work supports schools ready to move beyond survival and into a coherent, values-aligned future that does not rely on a few individuals carrying everything alone.
You’ll gain:
-
A multi-year strategic or equity-centered plan
-
Executive coaching and change leadership support
-
Integrated organizational redesign rooted in Montessori principles
-
Community workshops and accountability structures to sustain momentum
Ideal for:
Schools ready for lasting change — those who know transformation is not a project, but a practice.
Schools may engage in one phase or move through multiple phases over time, depending on readiness, capacity, and goals.
“We got clear information about all the spaces, all the materials, and ideas for how to best implement our programming in a way to meets our needs. We want a space that speaks to children, but also ensures we are doing Montessori well. It's not cookie cutter. It's for us."
"It's great to get feedback on your practice because it's like having another set of eyes. They see things we don't see because we are in it. These were things I knew I had grown lax on, so it was helpful to be re-centered. Some thoughtful conversation got us back on track to where we started."
“Looking at our systems for things like class placement for children, our hiring practices to find aligned people, and onboarding new people really helped us to connect our operational tasks to who we are as a school. It flows more now...and feels aligned.”
Our Approach
We don’t deliver binders. We build alignment.
Every engagement is rooted in Montessori principles — observation, respect, and prepared environments — and grounded in data-informed systems that help your school thrive long after our work ends.
